Queer classic more relevant than ever
In 1993, a little show called Relative Merits opened for a short two-week season at the Stables Theatre. The season was extended and extended, and the production eventually toured Melbourne and Sydney until 1996. Now comes a 20th anniversary production of Barry Lowe’s highlycharged two-hander, dealing with a footballer coming out to his homophobic younger brother. With Jeff Teale as Adam, the footy player with a secret to hide, and James Wright as Clay, his brother.
