The film is a coming of age comedy/drama about high school senior Carson Phillips, who is struck by lightning and killed in his high-school parking lot.
In a series of witty and insightful flashbacks, Carson recounts episodes from his life, including the way he blackmailed his classmates into contributing to his literary magazine.
Yarra Trams has sponsored an Auslan interpreted film for the third consecutive year now.
“We’re delighted to include Auslan interpreters as part of our sponsorship of MQFF so that deaf and hearing impaired people can enjoy going to the movies with their friends,” Yarra Trams marketing manager Matt McDonell said.
“This has been a hugely popular initiative in the last two years and we’re proud to continue our association with one of Melbourne’s great cultural festivals.”
The screening is on Sunday, March 24 at ACMI from 6pm.
