Meet rainbow parents
A social night for prospective rainbow parents — lesbians and gay men interested in shared parenting — is being held at Zanzibar Café, 323 King St, Newtown on Wednesday, September 22 from 7pm.
The evening offers GLBT community members interested in having children the opportunity to meet and socialise in an open and friendly environment.
Gays and lesbians who already have children are also welcome to attend.
The aim of the evening is to share stories and information on child-rearing as well as bringing together people who have hopes of becoming parents but haven’t yet met the right person to co-parent with.
It is believed that two rainbow babies were born as a direct result of a similar evening held three years ago.
