This year TasPride will celebrate 20 years in the community with a birthday theme to mark the special occasion.

The nine-day festival from November 16-24 has a program packed with free and ticketed events in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie, featuring international, national and local artists.

Highlights include Ireland’s much loved queen of stage and screen, Panti, who has chosen to make her Australian debut at TasPride.  TasPride will also be pushing the boat out for its opening birthday event, with a cruise on the Derwent – with Panti and a DJ on board.

The Theatre Royal Backspace will be the festival’s Queer Hub with talks, theatre and live music programmed throughout the day and night, and a fully operating bar to help the celebrations.

Gay bingo, the queer quiz night and the TasPride Parade will also be back.
