Molly Meldrum’s recovery is sure to get a boost today after being named The Immortal at the Rolling Stone Awards.

Meldrum picked up the lifetime achievement award for his outstanding contribution to pop culture.

The 65-year-old had been in the Alfred Hospital in intensive care since December 15, but was last week transferred to Epworth Rehabilitation Centre to continue his recovery.

Meldrum’s brother, Brian Meldrum, said the music legend is still not allowed visitors but well wishes have been passed on.

Gotye and Kimbra continued their massive run of success, with Gotye named Best Male and Kimbra collecting the One To Watch award. Cold Chisel picked up the Rolling Stone Award.
