New Zealand WINS Mr Gay World
Congratulations to New Zealand entrant Chris Olwage for winning this year’s Mr Gay World 2013!
Competitors in the pageant are judged in four different categories: modeling, sports, leadership qualities and knowledge of LGBT-related issues. Mr. Gay World is a cultural and sportsmanship contest that happens annually in conjunction with The World OutGames, and is sponsored by the Gay and Lesbian International Sport Association.
Winning the Mr. Gay World pageant endows Olwage with the responsibility of serving as an ambassador for gay and lesbian rights, as well as awarding him a diamond worth 3,000 euros.
