Ricky Martin splits with partner
TABLOID website US Weekly has reported today that The Voice Australia judge and openly-gay singer Ricky Marin has split from his partner Carlos Gonzalez Abella.
“Ricky and Carlos have mutually agreed to end their relationship but continue to be united by friendship and their shared experiences,” a spokesperson for Martin said in a statement to US Weekly.
The 42-year-old singer, who fathered twin boys via surrogate in 2008, is believed to be taking time off this year to spend with his children, although Channel 9 claims Martin will be back in Australia this year along side Joel Madden, will.i.am and Kylie Minogue for season three of the The Voice.
