In the latest turn of a personal rebranding exercise that apparently has no final destination, far-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos has confirmed he is still gay and married to his husband, after years spent calling himself “ex-gay”.

Yiannopoulos made the admission during a September 1 appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, following his arrest by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and deportation to the United Kingdom.

He was deported back to the United Kingdom from the US via a return flight on August 29.

Milo Yiannopoulos is gay, again?

Not long after landing back in the United Kingdom Milo Yiannopoulos was straight into his first interview, detailing his experience being deported, his love life, and change of heart in supporting Donald Trump and his immigration policies.

During the interview with Piers Morgan, he questioned Milo on his sexuality, noting that he was a gay man married to another man, to which Yiannopoulos replied: “I don’t do the sex stuff anymore, but yes.”

It was a surprising admission from Milo, who was previously gay, then “ex-gay”, and is now apparently gay again, although, according to Yiannopoulos, without sex.

His husband reportedly still lives in their Los Angeles home, albeit at the other end of the corridor, giving the arrangement the air of a very long running sitcom with separate bedrooms and a deeply confusing press strategy. A modern Bert & Ernie if you will.

The couple married in Hawaii in September 2017, however in 2021, Yiannopoulos announced he was “ex-gay”, claimed homosexuality was an addiction and started promoting conversion therapy, the discredited and harmful practice that seeks to change or suppress a person’s sexuality or gender identity. He went so far as to deny the existence of homosexuality completely.

His latest reversal arrived alongside another striking change of heart, this time about Donald Trump and the MAGA immigration agenda Yiannopoulos had loudly championed.

As previously reported, ICE arrested Yiannopoulos at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on August 27 over an alleged visa overstay and missed immigration hearing, he was deported to the UK shortly after, however it seems the experience may have influenced his previous beliefs.

Yiannopoulos went into great detail about his deportation experience duing the interview stating that “I don’t think I’ve ever been afraid before, like I was last week” and “I know what it feels like to be really, really terrified.”

He went on to detail how he was handcuffed which he said “hurts a lot more than it looks like on television.” He also went on to say “it was humiliating and it was disorientating” and “it was physically degrading. It was frightening. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.”

After previously calling for mass deportations and immigration checkpoints, Yiannopoulos told Morgan he was “very ashamed” of supporting Trump and said he would never have done so had he known the system could be turned on him.

Morgan confronted him over that spectacular contradiction, to which Yiannopoulos’ response was “You got me.”

Yiannopoulos also confirmed he is back working for Ye (Kanye West) from the UK and has signalled he intends to challenge his removal, though no concrete return plan has been announced. He had previously served as chief of staff at the rapper’s Yeezy company before famously severing ties with the rapper over his decision to launch a porn division of his company.
