Health care workers celebrate milestone
The Royal District Nursing Service (RDNS) and the Victorian AIDS Council/Gay Men’s Health Centre (VAC/GMHC) will tomorrow celebrate a two decade partnership offering support to HIV-positive people.
Since the late 1980s, the RDNS and VAC/GMHC HIV team have helped HIV-positive people with palliative care support, depression and HIV-related coexisting diseases such as cardio-vascular disease and cancers.
Both organisations also provide additional training for their large volunteer base.
VAC/GMHC is inviting the public to attend the event and help mark the 20-year partnership between the organisations on Friday, July 6 at the Positive Living Centre from 10am.
Victorian Health Minister David Davis will attend the event.
