Mind the Dubstep
Music purists could argue that the dubstep genre was dead in the water as soon as acts like Britney Spears started appropriating its trademark woozy, bowel-shaking beats into their own music (see Brit’s oh-so-brief dubstep breakdown in Hold It Against Me). Happily for serious dubstep fans, there’s no Britney amongst these 40 tracks, just dance acts like Freestylers, Above & Beyond and Stanton Warriors mixed over two CDs by Smile on Impact (disc one) and Flip3k (disc two).
