Fiji prosecutor stays despite anti-gay stance

Fiji’s chief prosecutor is refusing to step down from Australian tourist Thomas McCosker’s gay sex case, despite lambasting homosexuality in an email.

Fiji Director of Public Prosecutions Josaia Naigulevu wrote an email asking church friends to speak out against homosexuality, Australian Associated Press reported.

“The challenge is to take a stand for righteousness and boldly declare and uphold God’s precepts, values and principles against homosexuality,” Naigulevu wrote in the email, revealed by the lawy
