Homesexual hots up

Revellers at the inaugural Homesexual party this weekend can look forward to major stage shows and spontaneous acts throughout the night at the Mother Nature-themed, New Mardi Gras fundraiser, drag queen and Homesexual entertainment co-planner Mitzi Macintosh told Sydney Star Observer.

Macintosh (pictured) will appear in two of the four main stage shows.

Sometimes it’s cheaper to employ yourself, she joked.

One of them is very camp, classic, 50s gay, the other one is more a twisted, more goth sort of feel, Macintosh revealed.

But the classic-themed show is the one with the extra twist.

We’ve got some gorgeous male dancers, and they’ll be doing what you don’t normally expect male dancers to do, Macintosh said, although she wouldn’t be drawn on the details.

There’s a big twist to it.

But organiser’s are keeping Homesexual’s special live act under wraps until Saturday.

We have held that off because it’s quite special, Homesexual organiser Stephen Craddock said.

In the DIVA bar, a bevy of baby drag queens -“ entertainers beginning to make their mark on the scene -“ will perform and present catwalk shows under the supervision of bar host Penny Tration.

We’ve got a lot of queens coming along to support the DIVA bar … We spoke to all of the young queens and we said: -˜It’s a chance for you to get out there and promote yourself’, Macintosh said.

Homesexual is on Saturday 10 September at Home nightclub from 11pm. Tickets cost $30 plus booking fee. Book on the Homesexual website.
