Her voice is set to soar across the Pacific Ocean all the way to China for the Olympics. But before that Amy Pearson is getting ready to fly, performing at Sydney’s Arq nightclub this weekend.

The Birmingham native, with her sparkling personality, powerful voice and emotive lyrics, says she has long wanted to perform at one of Sydney’s gay venues, and is pleased it will be Arq.

I always go to Arq. I love it there and I can’t wait to perform and dance on stage, she told the Sydney Star Observer.

Chances are I’ll be hanging out with my friends there for the rest of the night.

Pearson will perform at Arq on Sunday night. Entry is $5 at the door and doors open at 9pm. Arq is at 16 Flinders St, Darlinghurst. Details: www.arqsydney.com.au.
