With its rocking guitar line and infectious hook, I Like The Way is not just another throwaway dance track. I

ts creators are the boys of BodyRockers, two guys from two different countries, with different talents.

After Dylan (the Brit guitarist spunk) met Kaz (the Aussie DJ spunk) in July last year, the two fell into a fast musical alliance. One year, big gigs all over the world and a first album later, the boys haven’t stopped since.

We met in Australia and he played guitar, Kaz says.

We had a jam, it went down a storm, and we went on tour. We got on really well and played in Australia and Asia together, and then we went to the UK -“ I had two days off before I was due to go to Ibiza, so we put aside one day to go into the studio and make I Like The Way.

Legend has it Dylan didn’t even have any lyrics prepared -“ he wrote them on the spot.

Four hours later they had an unfinished copy of the single, which Kaz -“ a former Frankie Knuckles DJ prot? with a world-wide following -“ played to his audience in Ibiza. A guy there heard it and organised two major label deals the next day.

Since then they’ve begun their promotional whirlwind including a huge show at legendary London club G.A.Y.

Four months of 14-hour days later, BodyRockers -“ the album -“ is out. Going from DJing country to country to spending four months in the studio has been hard, Kaz says.

But he reckons BodyRockers is worth it.

The night I first played the single in Ibiza and I saw what it did in the club, I knew we were on to something. My friend and I looked at each other like -˜what the hell? Our record’s going mad!’

BodyRockers’ album will be released on Monday 13 June.
