ACON has launched a health campaign targeting same-sex attracted women who engage in drug use or body modification.

The Word of Mouth campaign features community members sharing stories about safer drug use practices and party play. YouTube channel is the primary focus for the campaign and provides detailed information on harm reduction, drug treatment and support.

ACON HIV/Sexual Health Programs manager Siri May said acknowledging desire and pleasure was crucial to an effective campaign.

“This project reflects the need for ACON to speak to women about the reality of their lives … in order to provide health information that appropriately reflects their life experiences,” May said.

It provides a platform for viewers to post questions regarding drug use, party play and body modification, and includes tips about treatment options.
Community members can submit videos or add their own health tips to the YouTube channel and Facebook page.
