Beyond party changes date

An issue with liquor licensing has forced the key event of Melbourne Leather Pride, the Beyond Black 9 dance party to change venues at the eleventh hour.
Celebrating its ninth birthday, Beyond was to be held at the Beach Nightclub in Sydney Road, however a liquor license could not be obtained and the Sydney Road Traders Association have also objected to the venue re-opening.
Beyond will now be held as a daytime event – no longer on Saturday night – at Chasers Nightclub, South Yarra on Sunday, September 13 from 10am – 7pm.
Progressive trance DJs, laser and lighting production is still promised for what organisers say is set to be one of the bigggest Beyond parties yet.
Organisers have apologised to party goers and say those now unable to attend the following Sunday event can obtain a full refund from their ticket seller.
