On Broadway – David Campbell

Finally David Campbell seems to have given up his misguided attempt at becoming a rock star and gone back to what he does best — belting out great show tunes with gusto and precision. Campbell’s voice is ready-made for this collection of 14 stage classics including Oh, What a Beautiful Morning from Oklahoma! and Hello Dolly from the musical of the same name. Lesser-known tracks like Proud Lady from Guys and Dolls, Goodbye from Catch Me If You Can and What Kind of Fool Am I from Stop The World, I Want To Get Off! add some real depth to the album. It’s great to see Campbell back to full strength — and those who love a good show tune will find much pleasure in this top-shelf collection.
