The Jewels shine
Last month the Sydney Roller Derby’s Rough Cut Jewels took on the Newcastle Dockyard Dames for their annual bout. Competing in front of a sold-out crowd, at half-time the Jewels were up 68 points to the Dames at 23 points. The Dames caught up in the second half to finish on 89 points but the Sydney team was too strong, finishing on 171 points.
