McKellan is a ‘Vicious Old Queen’

Lord of the Rings star Sir Ian McKellen will star in a new sitcom alongside fellow theatre stalwart Sir Derek Jacobi, called Vicious Old Queens.

The show, which has been commissioned by British network ITV, will feature the pair as an elderly gay couple living in London’s Covent Garden.

British website Pink News reports that the series has been written by Gary Janetti, a former executive producer and writer of Will and Grace and Family Guy, and will consist of six 30 minute episodes.

We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to see this.
