OPENLY-gay Australian comedian Josh Thomas has just learnt that he is up for a gong at this year’s Emmy Awards ceremony.

Thomas has been nominated in the International Comedy section alongside South Africa’s Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola, Brazil’s The Mayor´s Wife and Belgium’s Wat als?

Thomas will find out if everyone does infect like him at the black-tie ceremony on November 24 at the Hilton New York Hotel.

  1. The story is self indulgent rubbish where people spend their time telling him he’s so great he’s not as a comedian, an actor or a rude drunk refusing the words no at a bar

  2. I also think in “Please Like Me”, he’s shown that he can act. He’s funny, and yes often he’s awkward, but I totally believe his character and the story that’s being presented. The story has pathos.

  3. I don’t like the comedian, but I like watching the Emmys.Be interesting to see what he comes up with, anything’s gotta be better than ricky gervais.
Congratulations to him for the milestone that’s hosting Emmys.

  4. He wasn’t nominated for a comment he made on QandA, he was nominated for a television series he created loosely based on his life.
Please like me is an insightful comedy that does what a lot of comedies do and touches upon real issues. What it has said about the awkwardness of coming out, the truths in living with a mental health condition and the roller coaster ride that is family has resonated with many people. This is why he has been nominated, because of a brilliant contribution to the arts.
If you don’t like it, don’t watch it.. I hear Block will be back in 2015, just hold your breath for that inspirational piece of television mastery….

  5. why vote for a person who is only in it for himself, it amazes why people suddenly want to jump on a person bandwagon cause they are on TV and say the right stuff at the right time….. he certainty does not represent my views at all and maybe he should talk to people like us who work at achieving success for this country
