A joint statement signed by dozens of health professionals has highlighted the harm caused by marriage discrimination on the health of LGBTI people.
The Sydney Women and Sexual Health (SWASH) report has been released to coincide with the LBQ Women’s Health Conference.

The third annual Lesbian, Bisexual, and Queer (LBQ) Women’s Health Conference is being held in Sydney next month.
The national summit will be proudly co-presented by ACON and the Victorian AIDS Council (VAC).
Roughly 1.7 per cent of the population is intersex.
The push is reportedly an effort to better include and accommodate trans and intersex employees.
The report uses European case studies to show that outdated gender stereotypes are resulting in invasive and irreversible surgeries on children who are intersex.
The new guidelines have been established to assist organisations with gender issues.
