Kylie Minogue Takes Over Melbourne’s Flinders Street

Kylie Minogue is making her biggest appearance in Melbourne’s history, literally.
A 13-storey mural depicting Australia’s iconic queen of pop has been unveiled, transforming a towering wall opposite Melbourne’s Flinder’s Street Station into a tribute to Minogue. It comes ahead of the artist’s highly anticipated Telstra Pre-Game Entertainment performance at the Toyota AFL Grand Final.
Adnate’s Tribute To Kylie Minogue
The artwork was created by renowned Melbourne mural artist Adnate, known for his monumental portraits decorating building facades across Australia and around the world, including his famed 20-storey mural on a housing commission building in Melbourne.
As for Adnate’s latest tribute, created in collaboration with Mushroom Creative House and with the support of Telstra, getting Kylie onto the side of this building was no easy feat. Rather, it took Adnate and two artists one week and over 150 cans of spray paint to complete.
“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve been able to achieve with this piece,” said Adnate. “Kylie is such a huge part of Melbourne’s cultural identity, so I wanted the artwork to celebrate her amazing career while capturing the excitement around the 2026 Toyota AFL Grand Final.
“This is definitely one of the most high-profile locations, of one of the most high-profile people I’ve ever painted.”
It is estimated approximately 110,000 commuters pass through Flinders Street Station every single day. Now, visitors to Australia’s oldest train station will be able to enjoy a sparkling new view.
“Kylie is one of the most recognisable stars this country has ever produced,” said Mushroom Group Chief Executive Matt Gudinski, “the fact that she’s a proud Melburnian makes it even more special.
“Having her adorn this amazing mural overlooking the city is a fitting tribute, and I have no doubt her Telstra Pre-Game Entertainment performance will be one for the history books.”
The mural is expected to remain in place for a minimum of eight weeks.
