Javier ready to get Extra Dirty

DJ Mandy Rollins’ trademark sound will be heightened this weekend when her Extra Dirty party makes its annual Mardi Gras appearance.
Celebrating the end of the festive season, the popular party has imported two prized European DJs, Javier Medina (Barcelona) and Leomeo (Paris), for the occasion. The party kicks off this Sunday, March 7, at Q Bar and 34B.
“Extra Dirty is about the people who attend. They’re totally into the sound we offer, which makes this event extra special,” Rollins told Sydney Star Observer.
“It’s the only event where you can hear our trademark dirty sound and with our two sizzling hot internationals, you won’t want to miss this Mardi Gras recovery party.
“We aim to give patrons the opportunity to see and hear the DJs and producers who have helped to shape Extra Dirty’s unique sound and therefore our place in Sydney’s gay subculture.”
Local DJs playing at the party include Feisty, Papa Tom, Scott Pullen, Sveta and Rob Gilbert.
Spanish DJ Javier Medina (pictured) said all DJs playing would bring something different to the line-up none of the other parties could come close to.
“I consider myself a DJ who is open to push the boundaries and always up to new experiences and sounds,” he said. “I love music and anything could fit in my set. But to be a little bit more concise, I can say I like darker sounds, percussive, hypnotic, and very underground.”

info: Extra Dirty is on Sunday, March 7, at Q Bar and 34B. The party starts at 10pm. Pre-sale tickets are $45 + BF from BANG, Spank! Records and HUM.
