Artistically inspired after an extended stint in Berlin, Clare Bowditch is back with a new band and a new, more upbeat sound for album four.

Ably backed by a trio of back-up singers known as her ‘Lady Garden’ (snigger), it’s clear Bowditch is having a lot of fun here, letting fly about society’s ills with gentle wit across songs like the rapid-fire title track.

But those who’ve come to love her for her ethereal ballads won’t be disappointed by tracks like the tender piano ballad A Little History (Homage To My Dad Two).
