Sydney Sexual Health Centre

The Sydney Sexual Health Centre is the oldest sexual health service in NSW. Funded by the NSW Ministry of Health, it is a busy clinical, educational, research, and community-oriented centre offering specialist expertise in sexually transmissible infections and HIV.

The Albion Centre

The Albion Centre is Australia’s only major multidisciplinary centre with a primary focus on HIV management. With more than 60 professional staff and over 130 volunteers, it has significant experience in HIV, sexual health, hepatitis and education and training both in Australia and overseas.

Parramatta Sexual Health Clinic

The Parramatta Sexual Health Clinic is one of the largest sexual health clinics in NSW and provides treatment, diagnosis, follow-up, education and counselling for sexual health, sexually transmissible infections and HIV/AIDS. Bobby Goldsmith Foundation

Established in 1984 by a dedicated group of Bobby Goldsmith’s friends, the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation is Australia’s oldest HIV charity and helps people with HIV to stay in their homes and out of hospital, pay for vital medications, return to work and live well. The Ankali Project

The Ankali Project was established in 1985 to provide one-on-one emotional and social support to people living with HIV/AIDS. The project recruits, trains and then supports volunteers who in turn provide support to those living with HIV or AIDS for an initial period of six months.

Positive Life NSW

Positive Life NSW works to promote a positive image of people living with and affected by HIV with the aim of eliminating prejudice, isolation, stigmatisation and discrimination.

ATSI: Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders Project

The ATSI program was developed to address the gaps in sexual health and blood borne virus health outcomes between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. Primarily, the program seeks to develop the capacity of

Indigenous communities to respond to sexually transmissible infections, HIV, and viral hepatitis, and networks with women’s groups and individual Aboriginal HIV/sexual health workers and community groups.

National Association for People Living with HIV/AIDS

The National Association for People Living with HIV/AIDS is the national peak organisation representing people living with HIV in Australia. It champions the participation of positive people at all levels of the national response and through leadership in advocacy, policy, education and prevention. It also strives to minimise the adverse personal and social effects of HIV.

Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations

The Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations is the national federation for the HIV community response with its members made up of the AIDS councils in each state and territory, the National Association of People Living with HIV/AIDS, the Australian Injecting and Illicit Drug Users League (AIVL), the Anwernekenhe National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander HIV/AIDS Alliance, and Scarlet Alliance, the Australian Sex Workers Association.

The Institute of Many

The Institute of Many is a peer-run social umbrella for HIV positive people. As well as online membership, TIM organises casual events at various locations in the last weekend of every month in Sydney, providing an opportunity to make friends, talk, share knowledge and skills, and to combat loneliness and fear of living with HIV. http://www.theinstituteofmany.org/

Karumah Positive Life

Karumah will be celebrating its 25th year of operation in 2014, we have a living centre in Hamilton for people living with HIV and provide an outreach case management service assisting people living with HIV with chronic care self-management strategies, we also provide social activities to address isolation and provide regular workshops and assistance. We work closely with ACON – Pacific sexual Health Clinic – HNE Health Immunology Dept. Positive Life NSW and BGF to name a few.
