French Martini

French Martini

cocktail1This delicious martini is infused with the flavours of summer and goes down a treat. The White Horse’s take on the recipe includes fresh summer berries for a real fruity kick. The sweet berries and sharp pineapple juice complement the purity of the vodka and the strong matured fruit of the Chambord.

Ingredients

30ml Belvedere Vodka

15ml Chambord

Stewed berries

Pineapple juice

Method

To start you’ll need to make the stewed berries. Place two cups of sugar and two cups of water in a saucepan and add a selection of fresh summer berries. A mix of blueberries, raspberries and strawberries is best. Bring to a high heat stirring continually until the sugar has dissolved and the syrup has thickened. You may need to add a little extra sugar or water to taste, but remember, this is supposed to be sweet! Leave to cool on the stove and then chill in the fridge. Place two spoonfuls of the berry mix, the Belvedere, Chambord and a dash of pineapple juice into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass and enjoy!
