5 – Lamb

Eight long years after their last musical offering, Manchester trip-hop duo Lamb have returned to the studio with 5, their aptly-named fifth offering. The thrill of Lamb’s music has always been in the push and pull of singer Lou Rhodes’ folk stylings and producer Andy Barlow’s electronic studio boffinery — and the magic remains intact across these 11 tracks. While 5 never quite scales the heights of their previous classic singles Gorecki and Gabriel, it’s a welcome musical return for this unlikely duo.
