This is the seventh instalment in Dutch DJ-producer Armin Van Buuren’s A State of Trance series in as many years, but the shine hasn’t worn off his mixing skills — he weaves together some great trance tracks over these two CDs.
Album opener Closer, by Susana featuring Omnia and The Blizzard, strikes that perfect trance balance of danceability and emotional resonance, while elsewhere there are remixes of songs by Faithless, M6, Luigi Lusini and more.
