Sydney’s Bentstix Hockey Club is heading to the Cologne Gay Games at the end of the month to defend its Pink Hockey World Championship status.
Regarded as the most successful gay and lesbian hockey club in the world, Bentstix is always keen to recruit more members, and already has its eyes on competitions past the Gay Games: the 2011 Wellington AsiaPacific Outgames, to be held in March next year. The club is aiming for a victory at the New Zealand event to ease the pain of a disappointing defeat back in 2008 at the first AsiaPacific Outgames in Melbourne.
With around nine months until the Outgames, now is the perfect time for keen players to join up and get training for the international event.
