Mika confirms sexuality rumours

Flamboyant British pop star Mika has confirmed he is gay after years of speculation surrounding his sexuality.

The Grace Kelly singer had previously ‘come out’ as bisexual in a 2009 interview with Dutch magazine Gay And Night.

Mika said in the interview that he had never labeled himself.

“I’ve never limited my life, I’ve never limited who I sleep with,” he said.

“Call me whatever you want. Call me bisexual, if you need a term for me.”

In a recent interview with Instinct magazine he expressed frustration with on-going speculation about his sexuality.

“If you ask me am I gay, I say yeah. Are these songs about my relationship with a man? I say yeah,” he said.

“And it’s only through my music that I’ve found the strength to come to terms with my sexuality beyond the context of just my lyrics. This is my real life.”

The singer is releasing his third album The Origin of Love in September. Mika has sold over 8 million records and achieved Gold and Platinum certifications in 32 countries.
