Singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright has announced a return to Australia with tour dates throughout September. He’ll be bringing his full band back, including songwriters Krystle Warren and Teddy Thompson who will rotate as support acts.

Wainwright sung a duet with Thompson on the Brokeback Mountain soundtrack.

Wainwright released his seventh album Out of This Game in April to rave reviews. He last toured Australia in October 2010 after he cancelled his March 2010 tour dates due to the illness of a family member.

Saturday September 8 – Canberra Theatre, Canberra
Sunday September 9 – Opera House – Concert Hall, Sydney
Wednesday September 12 – QPAC Concert Hall, Brisbane
Saturday September 15 – Hamer Hall, Arts Centre, Melbourne
Monday September 17 – Her Majesty’s Theatre, Adelaide
Wednesday September 19 – Riverside Theatre, Perth
