Extra Dirty, Sydney’s Sexiest (& Kinkiest) Queer Dance Party, Is Turning 18

This October, Sydney’s most beloved kink dance party, Extra Dirty, is returning to celebrate its 18th birthday. Proudly born and bred in Sydney’s queer underground in 2008, Extra Dirty is once again welcoming all to indulge in a shared love of himbos, harnesses, and the harder styles in electronic music.
The all-inclusive queer event will take place on Sunday 4 October from 9pm-3:30am, and will once again be held at Space Nightclub, the iconic 900 sqm rave space (complete with a 360° bar) stashed away on the second floor of 127 Liverpool St’s Shark Hotel.
As for the vibe? The Extra Dirty crowd skews toward queer, gay, leather, and fetish, but can’t be classified into just one club culture or clique. While you’ll see plenty of jockstraps and collared boys, Extra Dirty is proudly a place where all genders are welcome, all bodies are celebrated, and all aesthetics have an equal claim to space.
To commemorate the special day (or, rather, the debaucherous night), international DJ and Extra Dirty royalty Ben Manson will return, alongside a line-up of the best techno and dirty house spinners Sydney has to offer.
Meet DJ Ben Manson
A pillar of queer nightlife for over 20 years, French DJ Ben Manson has made his name for himself as a resident at Paris’s legendary Queen Club and Scream, before taking his sound across the world from Paris to Sydney via Madrid, Roma, Montreal, Milano, Moscow, Warsaw, Vienna, Singapore, Tokyo, Barcelona, Zurich, Rio and Sao Paulo.
In 2015 he launched LESS DRAMA MORE TECHNO, his own party built around a signature sound: deep, hypnotic, and raw, where industrial edges meet smooth, poetic melody. That same vision runs through his label, LDMT Records – championing Paris’s queer scene one release at a time.
