Famous trans women grace latest Candy cover

NOT one, not just a few, but 14 of the world’s famous trans women recently graced the cover of Candy, a global magazine that celebrates the lives of trans* people and prints in limited runs.

Featuring Orange is the New Black’s Laverne Cox, writer and activist Janet Mock, RuPaul’s Drag Race graduate Carmen Carrera and several others, the cover marks the eighth edition and fifth anniversary of the magazine created by Spanish editor and publisher Luis Venegas.

Only 1500 limited-edition copies of the winter 2014/2015 issue is available in the entire world.

The fold-out cover (pictured above) was photographed by Mariano Vivanco and styled by Yasmine Sterea, and honours the note-worthy trans women as “the glamorous women who lead the trans* revolution”.
