Hundreds back ENUF

Hundreds of people have backed a national campaign to tackle HIV stigma over the past few weeks after a successful day at the Midsumma Carnival on January 13. Nearly 700 people pledged support to the ENUF campaign, the national initiative challenging HIV stigma and discrimination.

Living Positive Victoria president Sam Venning said they have had a fantastic response at Midsumma and the community has come out in force to support the campaign.

“It is amazing to see people ‘get it’ when they see the similarities between racism, sexism and HIV stigma and discrimination,” he said.

The campaign calls on signatories to take on HIV discrimination and support HIV-positive people who fear disclosure. Olympic medalist Ji Wallace (pictured), radio presenter Dean Beck and the Melbourne Chargers are ENUF ambassadors.
