A family affair

Prospective parents from the GLBT community were given a rare opportunity to meet and mingle on Monday night at the first ever Rainbow Families NSW social evening.

Held at the Bank Hotel, Newtown the evening gave gay men and lesbians looking to become parents an opportunity to meet in an informal setting and share their stories and experiences.

Organiser Dominic Gili said, for years I have been asked by lesbians and gay men where they might meet others to co-parent with and all I could do is suggest that people put adverts in LOTL or Pinkboard or join our Yahoo online group, he said.

The night gave people an opportunity to meet someone to possibly co-parent with, but also share and learn from others with similar hopes.
