A delegation of San Francisco’s most influential has arrived in Sydney to celebrate the joint anniversary of Mardi Gras and the sister city partnership between our two cities.

With 2008 named as the International Year of the Sister City there was a no more opportune time than now for the two gay capitals of the world to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their partnership and the 30th anniversary of the world’s largest gay pride parade.

The delegates – made up of members from the business, political and cultural spheres – will be presenting a series of talks at The American Club tonight. The highlight is sure to be the debut of the first official San Francisco float in this year’s parade.

SF2OZ Seminar is being held today, Thursday 28 February, from 9.30am, at The American Club, lvl 15, 131 Macquarie St.
