Bollywood backlash
One of the stars of the groundbreaking gay Indian romance Dunno Y…Na Jaane Kyun, which screened in Sydney last month as part of the Satrang South Asian Queer Film Festival, has reportedly been disowned by his family due to his involvement in the film.
The Times of India has reported that the father of Yuvraaj Parashar (pictured) is ready to go to court to officially cut all ties with his son.
“When we heard about the poster and the things he has done in the film, we were shocked, hurt and humiliated. People will make fun of us and we won’t be able to live peacefully ever again,” the newspaper reported his father, Satish Parasher, as saying.
