Cabaret queen back on stage

Glebe’s AB Hotel will be a Mardi Gras hotspot this year with long-time gay community supporter Jeanne Little set to perform her acclaimed Marlene Dietrich show over two nights as part of the celebrations.

The one-woman show is based on the life and songs of Marlene Dietrich and has previously received rave reviews. This will be an intimate and very entertaining show, hotel spokesman James Templeman said.

Jeanne Little’s Marlene Dietrich show has been hugely popular in Australia and overseas but has not been performed in Sydney for some time now. We are very much looking forward to having Jeanne at the AB.

Little will perform in the upstairs cabaret bar of the hotel, which provides a relaxed environment to enjoy the show with a meal and a glass of wine.

Comedian Jackie Loeb will perform on 7 and 14 February; Deborah Conway and Willy Zygier on 19, 20 and 21 February and Melanie Parry on 28 February.

Fans of lesbian DJ Renae Stanton can see her playing a spiky yet soulful set at the hotel on 22 February from 8pm.

Jeanne Little will be at the AB Hotel on Tuesday 26 February and Wednesday 27 February. Tickets cost $48 for the show and a three-course dinner or $38 for the show and a two-course dinner. Bookings: 9660 1417.
