Condoms rebate for charities

Condoms rebate for charities

Starting Tuesday 1 May, Glyde Health will be donating four cents for each Red Ribbon Condom purchased by HIV/AIDs organisations.

Company managing director Clive Woodworth said each state’s AIDS council that purchased the Red Ribbon Condom would receive the bi-monthly rebate based on their purchases from Glyde Health.

We developed the condoms at our expense. It’s purely for the use of AIDS councils to assist them in raising extra funds by on-selling the products at fair days or in whatever way they deem suitable, he said.

This revenue will be in addition to the funds the charities raise themselves by using the condoms in their own fundraising activities.

Glyde Heath have manufactured and distributed sexual health products for 18 years. It’s Australian-owned and has a comprehensive product range.

The company also aims to ensure its the supply to public health care, government agencies and hospitals. The brand was also a major sponsor of the recent Grim Reaper 20th anniversary t-shirt.

We donate thousands of condoms and lubricant sachets to many of the state AIDS councils for their annual major fundraising activities and we also offer ongoing advertising support to two of the state AIDS councils’ quarterly publications, Woodworth said.

Glyde Health also makes sexual products as well as sex education literature available at reduced cost for educational purposes.

It also supports education events and conferences being run by sexual health workers, women’s group and nurses associations as well as supplying products to youth festivals and University Orientation week programs.
