Convicts on track for victory

After a very successful first day, both Convicts teams headed into the second day full of energy and relatively no injuries.

It seems the Dublin weather is very strange, going from extreme hot to extreme cold, which has affected some teams and how their bodies react.

I on the other hand am freezing my tits off.

Convict 2nds where first to play, pitted against the French Barbarians, who seem to be the least prepared team of the competition.

Convict’s 2 took the win with 18-0 and had some fun with the French in the process.

Convicts 2, second game was against the Philly Gryphon’s, once again smashing their opposition 22-0.

These results putting the Convict 2nd’s in a great position to take out the Bingham Plate.

Next up was the Convicts 1 side, up against Washington Renegades.

Washington is a very big team in stature, but this didn’t phase the Convicts, thrashing them 39-0.

The second game was a team the Convicts 2nd’s had played the day before, the Seattle Quakes.

The Quakes were no match for the Convicts’ top side, though they did score the first lot of points against our boys in the competition. The final result though was an amazing 39-3 scoreline.

the Convicts are the favoured side to take out the Bingham Cupo here – and with performances like this it is easy to see why.
The grand final is on today so fingers crosssed – and post your messages of support for the team at the end of this column.

The boys would love to know you are rooting for them.
