Cooking up the laughs

The East Village Hotel has extended the popular Miriam and the Monkfish production till Thursday 23 August.

The show is a satirical tale based around a dinner table, important business clients and two desperadoes who’ve never cooked before in their lives.

Starring Sophie Kelly, the play explores a woman’s disturbing story from fantasy to veracity and highlights her fixation with food, fat, and financial empowerment.

Fresh from a sell-out season at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the show is also produced by NIDA graduate Jenn Blake and directed by Tessa King.

General tickets start from $15 and dinner and show start from $25. For bookings call 9908 4213. The East Village Hotel is located at 234 Palmer St, corner of Liverpool St, Darlinghurst.
