CSN heads to the mountains for training

ACON’s Community Support Network (CSN) will be conducting an information and training seminar for service providers and volunteer carers in the Blue Mountains next month.

The one-day seminar is designed to better equip service providers and volunteers to help provide local home-based care for people living with HIV.

The discussion group will cover topics such as current HIV treatments, how HIV is transmitted, risk factors and the issues of living with HIV and AIDS.

The seminar will be held at the Mid Mountains Neighbourhood Centre, New St, Lawson, between 10am and 3pm on Friday 13 June. Lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.

ACON is a community-based non-government organisation promoting the health and wellbeing of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender peoples. They are a leading agency in HIV/AIDS policy development and program delivery.

The event is open to all those interested.

To RSVP call Maureen Rogers on 9206 2091.
