LOCO LOVE
Jas Van Houten
A quirky, pumping track out on my own label in June. As a review in Mixmag put it, Loco Love is guaranteed to make you shake your posterior like you’d been having carnal relations with a cactus. You know, just to see what it felt like! I couldn’t have put it better myself.
CIRCUITS
Jono Grant vs. Mike Koglin
A pure quality trancer, as you’d expect from these two. Awesome punchy percussion combined with a dark riff which never fails to get the crowd going. This track has plenty of space for all the elements making it a very clear production and the slightly ethnic melody gives it a real moody theme.
LOVE COMES AGAIN
Tiesto feat. BT
Obviously a huge tune across the planet by now. I don’t play many vocal tracks in my sets but I like the production of this one too much not to play it. The B-side mix by Mark Norman is very effective and probably the mix I play most. Love both mixes when they bang in with that stabby riff.
LUV IS COOL (Disco Brothers Dub)
System Of Life
When I first played this I was stunned by the punchiness of that kick and bottom end. It’s got bags of energy when it kicks back in after the grunged-up breakdown. Very much a DJ tool kind of record which comes to life on a big sound system.
EOS
Ronski Speed
One of my favourite Ronski Speed tracks to date. Pristine production with a beautiful melody. A definite must for any pure trance-ists.
