Maxxie can have any boy he wants and, like many gay teenage boys, he wants all of them.

This Monday 11 February, the hit television Skins will share the fictional story of a boy with his finger caught in too many pies.

Played by Mitch Hewer, the character Maxxie is caught up in the limitations of friendship. While he is dealing with the advances from his straight male friend, the friend is trying to fend off the father of the Russian girl he’s fallen for.

“I think Skins reflects the nuances of teenager’s lives – which are complex and as emotionally rich as any adult’s,” co-creator and producer Byran Elsley said of the program.

“Understanding them is impossible, you can only watch and wonder at how well the vast majority of them survive.”

Maxxie’s episode will play Monday on SBS at 10pm. Details: www.sbs.com.au.
