FRENCH COURT RECOGNISES LESBIAN FAMILY

A French court has recognised a lesbian couple as legal parents of their three daughters in a decision that could follow on to all children living in gay families in France.

The couple and their three daughters are the first same-sex couple with children to be recognised as a family by the courts, the Independent reported.

The victory came after a long court challenge, supported by teachers, doctors, neighbours and relatives.
