Girls on parade
A string of domestic and international female artists will put the feminine persona into the spotlight next month.
Girl Parade is a tongue-in-cheek exhibition that explores the female experience across a range of personal and social issues through portraiture, performance, costume and self-representation. The works follow threads of feminist discourse, vocational aspirations, motherhood, sexuality and desire, beauty and respect.
Girl Parade is at the Australian Centre for Photography, 257 Oxford St, Paddington, 16 November-23 December. Details: www.acp.org.au.
