Hot Spot: O Bar

Hot Spot: O Bar

It’s a little off the beaten track but maybe that’s a good reason to check it out. O Bar at 156 Devonshire Street, Surry Hills, is now featuring a line-up of your favourite DJs. Next Thursday 11 April they are launching their first queer night with DJs Annabelle Gaspar, playing from 8pm till 11:30pm, and Ben Drayton, who’s on from 11:30pm till 3am. If you can’t wait till then to take a look, drop in this Saturday 6 April when Scott Pullen plays from 11pm till 1am, followed by Annabelle Gaspar (pictured) till 3am. The following Saturday is also looking strong with Mardi Gras DJ Mandy Rollins on the turntables till 11:30pm and popular Alex Taylor taking you through the rest of the night till 3am. It’s still within walking distance of the Golden Mile, and handy to Central Station for public transport.

Support the Star Observer… while you still can

LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.

When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.

Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
