The Multicultural HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C Service is conducting research to explore the type of information that people need to help protect them from HIV/AIDS when they travel back to their country of birth.

Currently, there is very little information available for people who are travelling overseas and this research is aimed at developing a new resource that provides a range of communities with information that will help reduce the risk of contracting HIV/AIDS.

To inform the research, the Cultural and Indigenous Research Centre Australia (CIRCA Research) is organising a series of focus groups over the next three weekends. Each focus group will take around 1.5 hours. It will be conducted in one of the five languages and will involve men from a cross-section of the community.

It is important that gay men from these communities are involved to ensure that their needs are also addressed. Each participant will receive $40 in cash for their time.

If you speak one of the following five languages and are interested in getting involved, please contact the relevant researcher for details (time and location) of the group.
