Luminere party cancelled

Luminere, the post-Sleaze Toybox party to be held at Luna Park on Sunday, has been cancelled.
Party organisers Andy and Brett sent out an email on Tuesday afternoon stating the event had been cancelled “for reasons beyond our control”.
The party was “so close to sold out”, the email read, and an apology was made to all ticket-holders.
Complaints about the last Luminere party, which included having to queue for hours, had led to speculation that ticket sales had not lived up to expectations.
However, Fiona Gamble, who sells Luminere tickets from her business Soleil Tanning, disputed this. She said September Luminere tickets had been selling strongly from her Oxford Street salon.
“They are such professional guys, and I just feel so sorry for them,” she said. “Something serious must have happened.”
Andy and Brett did not respond to calls from SSO before the time of print.
Their email notice informed partygoers that their Luminere tickets could be retained and used at the next Toybox at Luna Park on Sunday 2 March.
“Simply retain your Luminere ticket and bring it with you on the day,” the email read.
Ticketholders have until Thursday 1 November to claim a refund. Those who paid by credit card have been asked to email [email protected] and tickets paid for in person can be refunded at Soleil Tanning, Level 1, 132 Oxford St.
