Party hard this Saturday
Attention Deficit Disco is back at Slide on Saturday 12 April and the name reflects the fact that there’s constantly something happening during the night from performances to funky sounds.
The night will be hosted by hip hop diva MC Trey, and singer Jeremy Brennan will also be making an appearance.
Event founder Tom?Finnerty said it’s a multi-dimensional night that includes Sydney’s best funky house DJs, integrated with live vocals, sax, drums and quirky performances that enhance the night to keep the audience entertained from every angle.
We are an inclusive event for both gay guys and lesbians and our straight friends in between, where the common goal is to be entertained with the best music and performances on offer for the gay scene, Finnerty said.
The night’s headlining DJs include Tim Blanshard, Jason Barry and GI Jode. The music will be taking on a new sound with a funky vocal disco house inspiration.
Adam Michael will sing an old school style of vocals throughout the night and Jeremy Brennan from King Casual is set to perform some big numbers as well. Also, gifted comedienne Annabel Lines will be bringing disco hula.
A.D.D. was started in response to a lack of diversity on the gay club scene -“ it’s something new and fresh and it’s bringing back the fun, he said.
Many people are tired of the homogenisation of music and formulaic club nights -“ we’re giving the community another choice on Oxford St and bringing back the gay that has been slowly seeping away from the strip.
It’s the first time the event will be held at Slide. The promoter is hoping to hold the event every couple of months.
